FOXTON’S REQUIREMENTS.

Mr Newman M.P., informs us that as soon as possible after the Christmas holidays, he intends to visit Foxton and the district, in order to acquaint himself thoroughly with local requirements and notably with matters appertaining to the Harbour Board and the inspection of land lor Closer Settlement. Mr Newman hopes that all residents in the town and district, irrespective of their political opinions will bring matters of public interest before him so that he may have an opportunity of furthering the interests of the district, so far as lies in his power. Mr Newman has been in Wellington lately on business connected with the constituency, and returns to Marton on Friday to attend the banquet to be given in his honour on that date.
