METHODIST PICNIC.
Boxing Day
Arrangements have been made by the trustees of the Methodist Church to make the river excursion and picnic fixed for Boxing Day, as enjoyable an outing as possible both for old and young. A number of useful prizes and pretty toys have been provided for the children’s races. A special prize has been donated by the trustees for the married women’s race, and also a prize for men who have never previously competed in a race, A novel cricket match, married versus single, and the usual picnic games, will comprise part of the pleasing programme for the day. Hot water in abundance will be supplied, and tickets are obtainable now, for the modest sum of is, children 6d. The boats leave the wharf at ga.m. sharp, and an enjoyable lime is anticipated.
