The pleasure boats are in bad repair, the shed requires attention and a shaking up of the dry bones is badly needed. As a result of last night’s meeting a change for the better is apparent. A strong committee consisting of Messrs Gower, W. J. White, Healey, and G. W. Morgan is now in office. Mr P. J. Hennessy has taken up Hie position of captain, and Mr Heyes vice-captain. Mr F. D. Whibley has consented to fill the responsible position of secretary, and Mr Hornblow, treasurer. The trustees are Messrs Gower and M. H. Walker. Thanks to the recent bazaar, the Club has something in the vicinity of to its credit, which sum members can rest assured will be expended to the best advantage in protecting, repairing and improving the club’s property. s_The boats will be thoroughly overhauled, and ready for members, with the least possible delay. We hope every member will do his best to assist the officers in carrying out their duties. All unfinancial members will be debarred from privileges, and the rules respecting the care and use of boats strictly enforced. The official opening will not be delayed longer than necessary.
