MANAWATU ROWING CLUB.

A meeting of the committee of the Manawatu Rowing Club was held in the Herald office last night. Present: —Messrs Gower, (chairman); Morgan, White, Hornblow and Whibley. Messrs Hennessy and Heyes were elected - members of the Club.

Resignations were received from the captain and vice-captain. The following new officers were elected Captain, Mr P. Heunessy; vice-captain, Mr W. S. Heyes; secretary, Mr F. D, Whibley ; and Mr Healey was appointed a member of the committee.

The Secretary was instructed to communicate with the late secretary, and get all books and papers handed over to the treasurer. It was decided that the committee meet at the boat shed on Saturday, at 1.30 p.m., and consider what repairs are necessary, and also inspect the boats. The meeting terminated after passing a vote of thanks to the chair.
