FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT.

Insurance Agent Killed.

Mr. Worthington, aged 32, insurance agent for the National Mutual, was killed last night on the Sandon-Bulls road. He left Feilding with Mr. Eeu McKelvie in the latter’s 60-h.p. Napier car, which had the sensational accident a few months back, and after a short stay at Sxndon left there for Bulls about 7.15 p.m. It appears that the car ran off a culvert on the Saudon side of the Bulls bridge. The outer wheels must have passed two feet clear of the culvert, the car jumping tbe ditch, and going about two chains by the side of the road embedded itself axle deep in a swamp. Mr. Worthington was thrown out and broke his neck, death being instantaneous. Mr. McKelvie suffered a severe shock and is distracted at the fatality. Mr. Jas. Wilson, of Bulls, found the car, and Constable Breen went out and took the body on to the Bulls Coutthouse, where an inquest will be held at 4 p.m. today. Mr. Worthington leaves a widow’ andthree children at Bulls.
