Cameron v. 0. E. Austin.

Judgment of the Arbitration Court in the compensation case Johanna Cameron v. Oliver Austin, was filed yesterday. The claimant was the widow ot William Henry Cameron, deceased, who was employed in carting flax to the respondent’s flaxmill. . After detailing the evidence as to Cameron’s death while loading flax, Mr Justice Sim said the Court could not find on Dr. Mandl’s evidence alone that Cameron’s death was caused by the strain of the work. To establish such a case there must be evidence of some physiological injury produced by the work in which the worker was engaged. The claimant had failed to produce any such evidence. The application would be dismissed, and the claimant ordered to pay respondent’s costs £lO ios, with disbursements and witnesses’ expenses, to be fixed by the Clerk of Awards,
