Sir, —With reference to a paragraph which appeared in your issue of September 29th, suggesting that an accommodation house should be opened on the Foxton beach, I should like to draw your attention to the fact that there is no seaside resort between Paikakariki and Castlecliff, near Wanganui. A good accommodation house on this coast is urgently needed, as people with children have simply nowhere to go for a holiday within a reasonable distance. Before Rangiuru House on the Otaki beach was destroyed by fire, numbers of families went there every summer, and it has been greatly missed since it was burned down. Foxton is in a central situation, and easily accessible by rail. If a good accommodation house were opened on the beach, I feel sure it would pay extremely well, as it would supply a long - felt want on this coast. Hoping some enterprising person will take the matter up shortly.— I am, etc., A Woued-be Visitor. Marton.
