MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD.
A spec : al meeting of the Moutoa Drainage Board was held on Tuesday 29th, for the purpose of confirming a special order making a special rate. There were present: —Messrs Gower (chairman), Hammond, Barber and Symons. The minutes of special meeting at which the resolution making rate was passed were read, aud on the motion of Mr Gower seconded by Mr Barber, the lesolution was confirmed, aud the Chairman authorised to attach the Board’s seal to all documents necessary in connection with loan which completed the business ot the special meeting. Ordinary business was then taken. Accounts tor timber delivered were submitted, aud held over until a meeting on the 13th.
The matter of contract was discussed and it was decided to instruct the engineer to notify the contractor the Board requires the contract proceeded with at once. The meeting then rose.
