MOUTOA DRAINAGE BOARD. NOTICE is hereby given that the Moutoa Drainage Board, at a special meeting held ou the 27th August, 1908, passed the following resolution, that is to say : In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the “Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,'’ the Moutoa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of six thousand pounds, authorised to be raised by the Moutoa Drainageßoard, under the above named Act,for the construction of an overflow channel from the Karikari drain to the Diagonal drain, thence to the Government drain, and along that drain to the Manawatu river, cutting connecting drain, erecting floodgates at the ends of the Diagonal and Government drains, and all other works in connection there with the said Moutoa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the Moutoa Drainage District Special Rating District, comprising all those properties in the Mt. Robinson Survey District within the boundaries of the said Moutoa Drainage District. Special Rating District starting from section 421 and continuing along the boundary of the Moutoa Drainage District to its junction with the main Foxton to Shannon Road, thence along the said road to the northern boundary of section 88, thence to the Manawatu river to the Shannon Ferry, thence along the Manawatu river to point of commencement at section 421, excluding therefrom parts of sections 251 and 258, and sub-sections 43, 44, 45, and 47, on the plan of the Moutoa estate. That such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the first days of November and May in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of forty-one years or until the loan is fully paid off. That the interest to be paid is at the rate of 3£ per centum per annum, and that the loan is for two successive years expenditure, and that the Engineer’s expenses, the cost of raising the said loan, and the first year’s interest may be paid out of the said loan. And notice is hereby further given that the above resolution will be submitted for confirmation by way of Special Order at a meeting of the Moutoa Drainage Board at the Council Chambers, Foxton, on TUESDAY, thp 29th day of September, 1908, at 8 p.m. .
