On interviewing Messrs Hennessy and Moore in reference to further action taken by them at Wellington during this week in connection with the Foxton Harbour Board, we were informed that they had had further consultations with Messrs John Stevens and W. H. Field, M’s.P.,had looked carefully into the history ot the Foxton Harbour Board as far as disclosed by the official records at Wellington, and had also further examined the law relating to harbours and railways generally. As a result of their investigations, it is possible a
further, interview with the Minister for Railways will be obtained on the one point of difference between the Railway Department and the Foxtou Chamber of Commerce. Although Messrs Hennessy and Moore were actively engaged in connection with the Bill during the whole of their stay in Wellington, it was deemed premature on that occasion to take further action of an official nature.
