FOXTON CRICKET CLUB.
The annual general meeting .of the Foxton Cricket Club was held in the Good Templar Hall last night, when there was a good attendance of members, Mr Reade presiding. The minutes of the last general meeting were read and confirmed. The annual report and balancesheet, showing a debit of £1 19s 9d, was adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—' Patron, Mr F. W. Franklaud; president, Mr O. Robinson ; vicepresidents, Messrs G. Coley, T. Rimmer, B. G. Gower, J. Levett, and P. Henuessy; secretary and treasurer, Mr W. S. Stewart; captain, Mr W. Nye; vice-captain, Mr Meadows; management committee, Messrs P. T. Robinson, R. Watson, F. Marlin, L. E- Reade, W. Bullard, and F. Whibley ; selection committee, Messrs Nye, F. Whibley, and Meadows; delegates to the Association, Messrs Robinson, Nye and Reade ; auditor, Mr F. Whibley.
The members’ subscription was fixed at ss.
A vote of thanks was accorded the out-going officers for their services during the past season. A hearty vote of thanks was also accorded to Mr George Coley for his presentation of a handsome trophy for the best bowling average. This trophy was won by Mr Bert Nalson, whose return to the Old Country at the end of last season means a serious loss to the Foxton C.C., and to cricket generally in this district. It was decided to open the season with a fancy dress match on October 7th.
