At a meeting of the committee of the Christchurch Sports Club correspondence was received from T. Tracey and J. Griffin respecting ' he match for the light-weight professional championship to be deeded at Christchurch on October •2. Tracey wrote that he had signed articles for a return match with Rollo under the auspices of the Manawatu Association, the date selected being October 14th, two days later than the date of his match with Griffin. The secretary stated that he had written the Manawatu Association, pointing out the impossibility of Tracey taking part in both matches, and suggesting that as the Christchurch Sports Club was unable to alter its date, the date of the Rollo match should be either put forward or back at least a week.
