FOXTON RACING CLUB.
The balance-sheet of th,e Foxton Racing Club, submitted to the annual meeting last night, disclosed a record ear. The year just closed opened with a deficit of odd. After liquidating this liability, and purchasing the section on which the office stands, besides meeting other increased expenditure, a surplus of ,£lßl 14s 3d was carried forward. The officials are to be congratulated upon such a healthy state of affairs, which is also evidence of careful administration. In moving a vote of thanks to the out-going officers, Dr Mandl paid a tribute to the manner in which the Club conducted its meetings, and said the local Club’s fixture compared more than favourably with similar gatherings in other parts of the Dominion. Dr Mandl’s sentiments are indorsed by visiting club officials from other districts. Secretary Keith was voted a well-earned bonus of ,£25. The coming meeting promises, provided weather conditions are favourable, to equal last year’s record.
