DRUIDISM.

Lodge Formed at Foxton

A branch of the above order was formed in Foxton on Tuesday night, when twenty-four members were initiated into the order. Grand Dodge was represented by Bros. Gardner, Mclntyre, Thompson, and Grant (Secretary). After the initiation ceremony, charter the was read and the following officers duly elected : —A.D., Bro. E Ball; V.A.D, Bro. F. Woods ; secretary, Bro P. T. Robinson; treasurer, Bro. E- Healey; 1.G., Bro W. J. Gardner; 0.G., Bro. R. Hynes ; A.D. Bards, Bros. E. Fuller and R. G. Miller; V.A.D. Bards, Bros. A. Cook and J. Williams; auditors, Bros. E. Wanklyn and F. Whibley. The offiicers elected were addressed by Bro. Thomson and installed by Bro. Mclntyre. Alter closing the Dodge, the vistors, including brethren from Shannon, Devin, Otaki and Rongotea, were entertained at a dinner in Mr Perreau’s tea rooms, over which Bro. Ball presided. After justice had been done to the excellent spread, the following toast list was honoured:—“ The King,” chairman ; “Grand Dodge ” BroMclutyre, and responded to by Bros. Grant and B. R. Gardner ; “Mauawatu Dodge,” Bro. Gardner responded to by Bro. Ball; “ District President,” Bro. Woods, responded to by Bro Thompson ; other toasts were: “ kindred societies,” Bro. P. T, Robinson, and “Host and Hostess” Bro B. R. Gardner. At intervals songs were contributed by Bros. Gallichan, Rawle, Marsh, and Dancaster. The function broke up at i a.m. The lodge will meet on alternate Mondays in the Good Templar Hall.
