SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.
Auckland, August 19
In the Supreme Court Percy Stephen Bond, charged with theft of postal notes, was admitted to probation. Stephen Ginnon, for forgery and uttering, was sentenced to three years. Henry James Reynolds, for false pretences, got three years. Wellington, August 19.
At the criminal sessions of the Supreme Court to-day, James Smith, alias Griffo, on a charge of receiving stolen property, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment. John Chalker was found guilty of theft at Pahiatua, and remanded for the Probation Officer’s report. For stealing money and assault, Daniel Morgan was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment.
