POLITICAL.
LiH week good work was done in Ihe House of Representatives, i'he Budget submitted, and the Roan Bill put through all its stages. The Meikle Bill was completed, two small Bills were read a third time, and others were advanced to various stages. This week the Second Ballot Bill and the debate on the Financial Statement will be amongst the impor-„ taut items. The Arbitration Act Amendment Bill will be out of the way for at least three weeks. Some important departmental reports are also expected. The majority of the Bills on the Order Papers have now been circulated.
