Grain Report. Mr F. Pownall, of the N.Z. and Canterbury Farmers’ Co-Opera-tions Associations, Wellington, reports as follows, all quotations being f.0.b., port of shipment, sacks free. Oats —Turnover is slackening, with heavy supplies in second hands. Exports for Australia are absorbing stocks of milling requiring quittance, but present limits for feed are restricting business. Values should stand until spring threshings demand an outlet. B grade s-bills and Danish rule at 2/7, Cartons 2/8, Duns 2/8L A grades 2d advance. Imperial Algerians 3/11. Wheat —Home qnaiters predict further drop with advent of new crops. Farmer’s values locally are unwarranted, allowing Australia to operate freely in flour in this direction. Milling is held for 4/11, fowl feed 4/9. Potatoes — Early contracts are filling immediate wants, whites realising 100/-, blues 105/-, winter will harden costs, Tasmania already commencing to draw out. Maize—Trifling demand at 5/6. Barley Feed plentiful 4/3, Mailing 5/-. Beans —hard crushers scarce 4/3. Peas Few whites available 4/9, partridge dragging 4/3, split £l6. Bran —Output meagre at £6. Pollard —Brisk sale at £7. Oatmeal 25 ’s list at £l3, rolled oats £lB, oatina 10/6. Chaff—Stocks are well held, Sydney drawing extensively. First cut costs 105/, Medium 92/6, straw chaff 65/-. Hay— Rye-clover moving 90/-
