MOUTOA DRAINAGE HOARD. \ MEETING of Ratepayers of the XJL Moutoa Drainage District will be held at the Council Chambers, Foxton, on Wednesday, the 17th June, at 7.30 p.m., when the following proposal will be submitted, viz.— That for the purpose of constructing an overflow channel from the Karikari drain to the Diagonal drain, thence to the Government drain, and along that drain to the Manawatu River. Cutting connecting drains. Erecting flood gates, at the ends of the Diagonal and Government drains, and doing all other work in connection therewith, a sum of six thousand pounds be borrowed under the “ Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” for a period of forty-one years, and that the security tor the re-payment of such loan be a special rate of i even-sixteenths of a penny in the £ on the capital value of all properties appearing on the valuation roll of the Moutoa Drainage District. Such rate to be an annual recurring rate during the currency of (he loan.
