GENERAL CABLES.
London, June 7
King Edward and Queen Alexandria, accompanied by .Princess Victoria, started yesterday on their visit to the Czar.
Their Majesties received a great ovation at Charing Cross station in the evening. They sailed at daybreak, and are due at Reval on Tuesday.
Sir Charles Harding, Sir John French, and Sir John Fisher, accompany the Royal party, and stringent precautions are being adopted for their safety. At Reval, the cruiser Asia is keeping the roadstead dear, and no vessel is allowed to enter or leave without a oermit. A large force of detectives has arrived.
San Franci. co, June 6.
Through the bursting of a boiler tube 011 the United States cruiser Tennessee, off San Pedro, California, four men were killed and ten injured. New York, June 7.
Stoker Wood, made a gallant effort at rescue, but the scalding steam overcame him and he succumbed.
Rear-Admiral Sebree narrowly escaped. He left the stoke hole 50 seconds before the accident. The occurrence is exciting peculiar interest owing to an abortive trial in November, 1906, of the Shelby Tube Company on a charge of tricking the Government tube inspectors.
