PERTH TRAGEDY.

Murder and Suicide.

A tragedy occurred in Moore Street, when John Odgers, a labourer, shot his wife dead and then blew out his own brains.

A few months ago Odgers married a widow named Moulau, but owing to his dissolute habits, the wife obtained a separation order. Yesterday Odgers met his wife in the street and threatened her. She took refuge in a shop, the owner of which tried to prevent Odgers following her, Odgers threatened to shoot the owner, and pushing past him, fired three shots at his wife, and, returning to the door, shot himself.
