THE HOLIDAY.
The weather for yesterday’s holiday (Prince of Wales’ Birthday) was perfect. Foxton presented a deserted appearance. A large number of people took ad van tage of the cheap railway excursions, and travelled north and south. A number ot local sports attended to Otaki races. The perfect weather attracted a large number to the beach.
The only local attraction was a private picnic in Mr M. Walker’s pretty grounds in Norbiton Road, and judging by the shouts of laughter emanating from that quarter, a very happy time was spent.
