The text of the Old Age Pensions Bill is criticised on the ground that it introduces inquisitorial machinery and numerous restrictions.
In the House of Lords, Earl Crewe, Secretary of State for the Colonies, introduced the Irish Planters Bill.

Three masked boys stopped and robbed a train at Montana, in the Rocky Mountains. Hundreds of passengers were thrown into a state of panic. A rancher, in attempting to escape, was shot by the boys, who were arrested later.
