Wheat —Farmers are withholding supplies, irregularly gauging value of wheat by Trusts quotations for flour, compelling them to cost above increasing indents from Adelaide ; latter are accepting 4s 3d for milling, Dominion asking 5s ; fowl feed 4s rod. PotatoesSuperior quality of N.Z. grown is checking imports from Australia, whites finding ready clearance at £5, blues 105 s; will yet see more money. Maize—Nominally 5s 6d; new crops nearly ready. Barley— Small turnover; malting 5s 3d, feed 4s 3d. Beans —Sound crushers available at 4s 3d. Peas —Partridge quiet 4s 6d, split £ls 16s. Bran —Holds at £6 5s ; output shortening. Pollard- — Readily quitted at 10s. Oatmeal —25s list at rolled oats oatina 10s 6d. Chaff — Values hold good at 105 s for best bright medium 90s, rye-corn chaff 755, straw chaff 60s ; tendency upward.
