HIDE) AND SKIN REPORT. Dalgety and Company, limited, Palmerston North, report having held their usual monthly sale of wool, skins and hides on the 29th instant, when a good catalogue was offered to a large attendance of buyers ; wool and skins sold at last sale rates. Hides, market easier and all classes declined to %d to yid per lb. We quote.— Wool :—Crossbred, 4d to <\%d ; crutchings, to 2%d ; locks, i|d. Skins : — )4d wool crossbred, 3fd to 4d. % wools, 2%d to 3d ; lambs, 3id to dead, %d to id. Butchers’ part dry and green, is Bd, is lod, 2s, 2s 3d, 2s 6d, 2s Bd, to 2s xod each, lambs, is 4d to is 8d each. Salted, is 4d to 2s id each. Hides:—Heavy ox, 6d ; medium, sid ; light, 4id to s%d : steers, 3|d best lines, 4d to 3}(d to wet and sloppy, 3%d to 3M; bulls, 3 Y?, to 2d to Tallow: —in tins, 17s per cwt, barrells, 18s 3d per cwt, horsehair, is per lb, tips is per dozen.
