London, May 27. Mr O’Grady (Nationalist), in the House of Commons, suggested the suspension of the King’s visit to Russia owing to the imprisonment of many members of the'first and second Dumas and the continuance of official murders. Mr Asquith severely rebuked such a reflection on a foreign nation. The speaker stopped Mr O’Grady from further intervention. The Labour Party has resolved to write to Sir Edward Grey urging the abandonment of the King’s visit. Lord Mount Stephen has given the King’s Hospital Fund another jQ 7OOO a year, making his total contribution over ,£30,000 a year, or over a million sterling. He advised the finance committee if they decide on changing the securities in which his contributions are now invested not to re-invest in trustee securities. Ottawa, May 29. A deadlock occurred in Dominion House of Commons, owing to the Opposition’s refusal to vote supply until the Electoral Bill was amended. This caused an all night sitting. It is rumoured that Sir W. Laurier contemplates a dissolution this summer. London, May 28. The Archbishop of Canterbury has expressed a hope for the coordination of the Church and the Nonconformists in missionary efforts. The Rev. Guinnes Rogers describes the Archbishop’s noble and fraternal utterance as worthy of himself, the Church and the nation. The Archbishop of Canterbury’s letter referred to. the London Missionary Society’s forthcoming exhibition in Loudon which le wished “Godspeed.”
