MYSTERIOUS STABBING AFFAIR.

Wellington, May 25. About 9 o’clock on Saturday night, a young married man named John Forbes Orr was suddenly attacked by a man, who stabbed him in the neck, inflicting a severe wound, which just missed the jugular vein. The assailant, who also threatened to shoot Orr, then calmly walked away as if nothing had happened. There appears to have been no reason whatever for the outrage. The assailant was a big, burly man, vnknown to Orr, who is of a small physique. The injury is not likely to have any more serious result than of incapacitating Orr for some days.
