LONDON MARKETS

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, Wellington, have received the following cable messages from their London house, under date of the 14th instant: —Butter. —The market Is very weak. The Copenhagen official quotation is 4 kroners (about 4s 6d) per cwt. lower. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for week ending 9th instant amounted to 80,000 cwt., as compared with 87,000 cwt. for the corresponding week of 1907 ; showing a decrease of 7000 cwt. Finest, 104 s. Frozen Meat (in general).—The market is easy, but not quotably lower, except heavy weights, which are lower by per lb. The output has improved. Copra. —The market is demoralised, and there is no demand at a reduction of 6d per unit.
