GRAIN REPORT.
Mr F. Powr.all, of the N.Z. and Canterbury Farinas' Co-Operation Associations, Wellington, reports as follows, all quotations being f.0.b., port of shipment, ■ acks f ee. oats. —Business apparent, is confined to extensive coastal orders under corap’eticn, with small Eastern Australian fillings for A grades. Seasons growing are mainly latter, receiving active enquiry for both milling and seed purposes. B grade Danish and sbills rule at 2/6, Cartons 2/7, Duns 2/8, seeds 2/10. Wheat —Unfavorable advices are restricting sAustralian expoits homewards, checking further advance, with a reflect on Dominion values. Should flour ease locally, wheat will sympathise. Tuscan and velvet seek 4/6. Fowl feed more available at 4/8. Potatoes.— Quality is turning o>it satisfactory, though on small side, b'ighted districts having greatly diminished. Whites are steady at 5s od. Blues £4 10s od. Maize. —Moderate turnover at 4/7. Barley. —Malting quiet at 5/3. feed 3/6, seed cipe 4/6. peas.— Partridge stand at 4/-, exports thinning. Split ,£ls 10s od. Bran. —In good supply at £5 2s 6d. Pollard. Nominally off boards at £6 10s. Oatmeal. — 25s are firm at ,£l3. Rolled Oats _£iß. Oatina ro/6d. Chaff.— Stores are comfortably filled, and reserves south, heavy. Bright cut commands 95/-, medium 90/-. Winter will enhance value slightly straw chaff 65/-. Hay. —Pressed straw lists at 42/6. Rye-clover hay 85/-.
