Mr Trewiu has been elected unopposed for FeildiugV Wanganui, April 22. Mr C. E. Mackay was re-elected unopposed as Mayor of Wanganui. Christchurch, April 22. Mr George Payling, the present Mayor, and Cr Allison, were nominated for the Mayoralty of the City. Auckland, April 22. Mr A. M. Myers was elected Mayor of Auckland for a fourth term unopposed. Crs McDonald and Walker were the only nominations for the City of Dunedin mayoralty. • Hokitika, April 22. H. E. Michel was re-elected Mayor unopposed. Oamaru, April 22. Mr R. Milligan was elected Mayor unopposed for the fourth consecutive term of office, and Mr Nicholson was unopposed for Hampden.

Timaru, April 22. Two candidates have been nominated for the mayoralty —J. Craigie and T. Hawkey. The former is the present Mayor and the latter a member of the Borough Council for fourteen years. Eltham, April 23. The Mayoral nominations are — G. W. Tayer (present Mayor) and T. S. Stanuers. Wellington, April 23. The Hon- T. W. Hislop (the present sitting Mayor) and Mr J. G.W. Aitken, M. P. , an ex-Mayor, are the only candidates for the City Mayoralty. Nelson, April 23. The Mayoral nominations closed to-day. For Nelson Mr Jesse Piper (the sitting Mayor) and Cr Hampson were nominated. For Richmond Mr Shears was returned unopposed for a second term. Napier, April 23. Mr J. Vigor Brown was elected Mayor for a second term. Taihape, April 23. Messrs Anthony Nathan and Joseph Ivess have been nominated for the Taihape Mayoralty. Greytown, April 23.

Messrs D. P. Loasby (sitting Mayor) and J. D. Heagerty are nominated for the Mayoralty.
