A tragic Wedding Journey. Honeymoon Couple s Fate
It was half past three before the injured reached Melbourne, and it is impossible yet to give a list of the killed, but amongst those identified are Alfred Illingson, Maria Danuoch, Victor Pascoe, William Nankervis, J. Brown, Ernest Denier, Mrs Tucker, Agnes Wright, Dolly Green, Frances Dalling, Alex. Mackay, Fred o‘Connor, Thomas Huntington, Amy Baffin and Alice Baffin. The seriously injured include Jessie Williams, Alex. Oliver, Rose Acreman, Aunie Maffin, Harold Peters, P. Oxland, George Needham, Percy Walsh, W. Young, Wilfred Reynolds, J. Varty, Ethel Eynch, G. Bosher, aud 4 less seriously. All the victims, so far as is yet known, are Victorians. A medical man reports that lie caught a thief robbing a man who had been mangled badly, but in the absence of the police he could not detain him. One child was disembowelled. A bride and bridegroom were on their honeymoon. The bride was killed and the husband desperately injured. The Fire Brigade from the Harvester works close by rendered splendid service, and quickly extinguished the fire.
