BLACKBALL STRIKE.
Dunedin, April 20. Mr, Fitzgerald, organiser of the Socialist part3 r , addressed a meeting here to-night. A resolution calling on the Governor to resume possession of the lands and minerals held by the Blackball Company was carried ; also the following : “ This meeting views with alarm and disapproval the action of the Hon. Mr. Millar in denying tlxe Blackball miners employment on Government railways, and we consider such introduction of the boycott by the Government is tyrannical in the extreme and a violation of the liberty of the taxpayer to obtain equal opportunity of emploj--raent.” There were about 150 people present.
