CORRESPONDENCE.
We do not hold ourselves responsible for opinions expressed by our correspondents. [TO THE editor.] Sir, —In reference to the onesided controversy that has been going on in paper for some time in reference to the coupon S3 r stem for bread, there is one phase of the question which I have not seen stated. It is this : The baker wont give me credit for a loaf of bread and he refuses to accept my coin of the realm in payment for a loaf except under a penalty, and requests me to purchase 13 scraps of paper for 4s which represents 13 loaves. Now who the Demosthenes is he that I should trust with luy money. These sort of capers may suit people with criminal instincts but they somehow stir up my gore, and as a protest I have refused to buy bread from the local 'bakers under existing conditions, and I would sooner allow the old woman to experiment with homemade until she made decent bread than cotton to such treatment. If I am not taking up too much space, could I ask any of your numerous readers to give\you for, publication, recipes for made bread. Yours, etc, Fuee^Up.
