BRITISH POLITICS.
The New Premier.
London, April n. Mr Asquith, on his arrival at Dover after receiving his appointment as Prime Minister at the hands of the King, received an ovation from the crowd, which was repeated when he reached London. Mr Asquith, immediately on his return from France, visited Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman. The latest bulletin states that the invalid passed a quiet day. His condition is unimproved. He has comparatively little suffering and is very weak.
