FOXTON HOCKEY CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the above Club was held last evening in Mr J. W. Rough’s office, there being a good attendance of members. Mr W. Gordon in the chair. The balance sheet for year, which showed a credit balance of £2 3s sc!, was adopted. The annual election of officers resulted as follows : President—Dr Maudl (le-elected), vice-presidents : Messrs Baillie, O. Robinson and Shad bolt; Captain, J. W. Rough, vice-captain, Mr Orwin ; Selection committee : captain, vice-captain, and secretary (W. Cook) ; General committee : captain, vice-captain, secretary, Messrs Gordon and Woods ; Delegates to Association : Captain and W. Gordon ; The sub was fixed at ss, being same as last year. The following new members were elected : Dr. Adams, Messrs Orwin, Gardner, P. Robinson, Cook Wbibley, Watson, Johnston, McCall, Collins, Bird, Robbins, W. Gray and Walker. It was decided tojopen the season with five aside tournament at a date to be fixed. A practice match is to be played on the 15th inst., to choose a team to represent the Club in a five aside tournament at Palmerston on 29th inst. Votes of thanks to the chair, retiring officers, and for use of room, concluded meeting.
