SUPREME COURT.
At the Palmerston sitting of the above Court, before Mr Justice Cooper on Wednesday, John Chalker, charged with having assaulted and robbed George Wilcox of was found not guilty and discharged. Frederick James Symons and Albert Duncan Brown, alias Browne, were charged with having assaulted and robbed Robert Patterson of a bottle of whisky and 7s 6d in money on December 21st, were sentenced tp two years and six months. John Gascoigne Weightman charged with having committed perjury by swearing falsely in a case of assault and robbery heard in the Magistrate’s Court at Feilding on October Bth, 1907, was found not guilty and discharged. Louie MaudVanstoh (Mr Beale) applied for a dissolution of marriage from George Vanston on the ground of adultery. No defence was filed, and a decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute in three months.
