The cash system of trading is not to be peculiar to bakers. A local grocer has decided that henceforth his business shall be conducted strictly on cash lines. If, however, one storekeeper, in a competitive spirit, allows goods to be booked at prices that the other fellow sells for cash, it leaves an opening for bad debts, and the purchaser becomes “ top-dog,”
