CRICKET.

A cricket match eventuated on Saturday last between the boys of the Foxton and Moutoa schools, when the latter won by 14 runs. In their first effort Foxton only managed to knock up 21, the bowling of Arapere and P. Walden being 100 good, the former securing five, and the latter four wickets. In the second innings they responded with 50, E. Osboldstone 12, W. Betty six, and A. Edlin four, being the highest scorers. For Moutoa, Arapere 36, Takerei seven, and Alex. Bowe seven, were the top scorers, the innings closing for 58, Howe, Barber, and Edlin, secured the wickets, Barber accomplishing the hat trick. In the second innings, Moutoa only got 27, Walden i'3» being top scorer, Howe and Barber again securing most of the wickets.
