SCULLING.
Syonuy, February 27. George Towns, ex - world’s champion sculler, interviewed, said that though he.hoped Tresidder would be victorious, he thought Webb would win. There was no doubt he must have improved considerably. If backers could be found Towns said he might think of rowing again for the championship. His brother Charlie had no" thought of trying his luck again. He was too much disgusted with the last race. There were plenty of good young scullers, but they were not equal to championship form. He thought Arnst ought to stand a very good chance with Webb.
