CONDEMNED TO DEATH.
St. Petersburg* Feb. 23. The Court Martial condemned
General Stossel to death, but without the loss of Ms military rights or honor, owing to heroic' defence made by the Port Arthur garrison, and Stoessel’s personal bravery. The Court will ask the Czar to commute the sentence to ten years’ .impriscmmgnt in a fortress. The " * Court reprimanded General Fock, and acquitted Generals Reuss and - Smimofi. The Times says that the condemnation is Reserved, as Stoessel conspicuously failed in his duty, .and lacked the requisite indomitable moral courage.
