SWALLOWED HIS TEETH.
A Painful Dea'l?. Recently James Hudinett, a single man, who resided in Punt Road, Richmond, called at the Melbourne Hospital, and informed the doctor on duty in the casualtyroom that he swallowed his false teeth. Hudinett complained that be was suffering great pain, and his condition appeared so serious that he was admitted as an in patient of the hospital. On the 10th instant symptoms of an alarming nature became apparent, and at 4 o’clock in the afternoon an opeiation was performed, but the teeth were not located. The application of the Routgen rays had also failej to discover them. Hudinett never rallied after the operation, and shortly 011 the nth he died. At a post mortem, the teeth were found embedded at the root of a lung, and they had penetrated the aesophagus. The cause of death w. s pneumonia, supervening on the injuries caused by the teeth.
