* . London Markets. Messrs Dalgety and Company, limited, Wellington, have received the following cable messages from their Lov'don House, under date of the 13th instant Butter ;—Market firm. The Copenhagen official quotation is ten kroner (about ns 3d) per cwt, higher. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for week ending Bth instant amounted to 73,000 cwt as compared with 100,000 cwt for the corresponding week of 1907; showing a decrease of 27,000 cwt. Prices, we believe, have reached their highest. Since our last, advices prices for Australian and New Zealand butter are unchanged. Frozen Meat:— The market is dull, but prices are Tallow : —Prices are at par to 3d per cwt, higher. The Hemp Industry. ,
