HORRIBLE MURDER.
w 1 1 ■" Peasant Commits Patricide. Details have just been received of a triple crime committed by a peasant s sou in a little village in one those smiling valleys of the Vosges, the last place on earth where one would expect that such a horrible deed would be perpetrated. The murcL*er # a farmer’s son, who had been arrested, and who has confessed his crime, killed his own father with a hatchet, and also a woman and her son who were living in the same house, and afterwards tried to burn their bodies in the bread oven of the farmhouse. His father was 69 years of age, nud was living on a farm with his son, aged 39, and a woman and her son, who helped him on the farm. A few days ago the mother of the woman was surprised that her grandson, a boy of 18, did not return to her house in the evening as usual, and on the following day she went to the farm to enquire. She found the place apparently deserted, and could not understand what had happened. On the second day she again went to the farm, and_agajn^a^iflgji>^
