GRUESOME FIND.
Auckland, Dec. 6,
This evening, while some boys were bathing on the beach at the foot of Sentinel road, Ponsonby, they discovered the headless body of an infant about a month old. The body had apparently been in the water about a fortnight. Though the head may have been taken off by a shark, the police incline to the belief that it had been severed before the body was thrown into the water. There is no clue to identification.
