Dunedin, Dec. 5. Henry Dawson Johnson, who lived at St. Clair, died this morning, apparently as the result of a slight wound on the top of the head, inflicted by a corkscrew on November 25th. Deceased, who had the corkscrew in his hand, •C stooped under a table to pick up y- something, and when he rose he / was bleeding profusely from a wound on the head. A pad was made, and the flow of blood stopped, but every time the pad was taken off bleeding commenced afresh. Deceased took ill early this morning, and when a doctor arrived he was dead. He was well known in racing circles a few years ago. The verdict was that death was due to excessive bleeding, aggravated by the excessive use of alcoholic stimulants, which had weakened his constitution.
