NOMINATIONS tor all events (except Trial Hack Race Ist Day and Maiden Back Scurry 2nd Day) close with the Secretary at Foxton on SATURDAY, January 4th, 1908, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS will be declared on or about January 11th, 1908. ACCEPTANCES for First Day and ENTRIES for Trial Hack Race [First Day] and Maiden Hack Scurry [Second Day] close on'WEDNESDAY, January 15th, 1908, at 9 p.m. WEIGHTS for Second Day’s Races will be declared on WEDNESDAY, 22nd January, at about 8 p.m. Acceptances close same evening at 9.30 p.m. PENALTIES.—FIat Races. The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lolbs, and of any additional race a further penalty of 71bs. Horses handicapped at Bst 101 b or over to carry half the above penalties. The winner of any hurdle race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs in the hurdle race and of any additional race a further penalty of 71bs. Entries by telegraph must be confirmed at earliest opportunity and name of trainer given. No horse allowed to start whose fees are unpaid. The Stewards Reserve the right to alter the date or time for receiving nominations and acceptances as they may deem fit. INFLUENZA I Influenza, which is very similar to a I severe cold, attended by a high fever requires very careful attention. Unless care is taken pneumonia often follows.
