Information reached Dunedin to-night that Lionel Terry has escaped from Seacliff Asylum. perry was transferred to Seacloie some mouths ago, and of late hq has devoted most of his time to scfne painting. He designed and carried out a beautiful drop-scene representing a Norway fiord. Speaking about Chinese, he has said that having made his protest he has no intention of repeating the step which led to his present position, but he says his views regarding them are quite unchanged.
