Cryi.on, Nov. 15. Mr Keir Hardie called at Queen’s House here, hut Sir Henry McCallura, the Governor, was too busy to receive him. Mr Hardie sails for Australia to-morrow. London, Nov. 15. Thomas Kerr, caretaker of the Garnstown golf links, was tried for murdering Kllen Pinnock ten years ago. The body was recently found under his cellar, following the revelation of a trance medium named Staples. The jury disagreed, and Kerr was discharged. London, November 16. The destroyer Mohawk averaged knots on her steam trial in six hours in the North Sea. Hamburg, November 16. Tremendous sensation has been caused on the local Bourse by the suicide of J. Ballin, a broker, brother of the? manager of the Hamburg, American steamship line. New York, November 16. Dr Gordon, of Pennsylvania University, has discovered an intelligent and virtuous tribe of Asiatic origin in the Alaskan wilderness. The tribe is governed by priests, who are also patriarchs.
