FOXTON BUILDING SOCIETY.

A meeting of directors of the above was held on Wednesday last, Mr P. Hennessy in the chair. It was resolved, That any persons who desired to take up shares in the Society could do so without paying up back dues until they had been successful at the-ballot, when the back payments would be deducted from the amount drawn. This offer, it w?a pointed out, should be an inducement to those who have noffot taken up shares in the Society, as they would be on an equal footing with old members. The directors also expressed regret that a number of members were so backward with their payments, which meant that the ballot was delayed. The first ballot will be held in a few weeks’ time.
