RUSSIAN GIRL KIDNAPPED.
London, October 31
Despite the presence of her chaperon, Barbara, the eighteen-year-old daughter of M. Lapoukhin, a former director of police at St Petersburg, disappeared outside the Aldwych Theatre in London. M. Laponkhin, the girl’s father, was the prime mover in exposing a former Government’s connection with the organisation of pogroms of vengeance in Russia.
Over a thousand detectives are searching for a clue to the missing girl.
