W. WEBB HONOURED. Christchurch, October 17, At the opening of the boating season at Lyttelton this afternoon, W. Webb, the world’s champion, gave an exhibition of sculling. He was presented with a gold watch from local admirers. SLY GROG-SELLING. Tathapk, October 17. William Heppy, convicted of sly grog-selling at Utiku, on September 21st, has been sentenced to one month’s hard labour at Wanganui gaol. A large quantity of liquor was found on his premises.
